Girls’ Education Trust implements all programs fully aware that impact will only be realised through strategies and programs from evidence in a collaborative and sustained manner.
Scholarships contribute to breaking cultural and social barriers that vulnerable girls face every day. Girls are able to attend school and are provided with the necessary materials for their secondary matriculation. To partner with us is to change the development landscape of Malawi and a young girl’s life forever.
The Adopt-A-School Campaign is a program where sponsors can partner with the Trust in providing support for a school of their choice. You can choose to provide tuition, school supplies, or infrastructure to any public school of choice in Malawi. The campaign allows for all of us to be part of the process of bringing change to a girl’s life. By working together, with your support, every girl can break the cycle of poverty.
In order to increase girls’ academic achievement and success, the Trust is implementing a school-based mentorship program to foster positive outcomes for girls. This program is built on the belief that such interventions and support positively contribute to the development of students. This comprehensive mentorship program will enable girls to focus on education, strengthen their self-esteem, and realize their dreams.
The Girls’ Empowerment Retreat is an initiative aimed at inspiring and empowering girls to connect with their purpose, cultivate new skills (including survival skills), build confidence, and develop relationships beyond the classroom and for years to come. The activity also brings together female professionals from various disciplines to serve as living role models sharing their experiences as well as encouraging the girls to take up roles in diversified occupations.
